ನಾ ಕಂಡ ಕನಸಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನೊಂದು ಮಾಯೆ
ಮನದ ಆಗಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನಯ ಛಾಯೆ


ನೀ ಬಂದು ನಿಲ್ಲಲು
ಮನವು ತಿಳಿಯ ಆಗಸದಂತೆ
ನೀ ಮನದುಂಬಿ ನಗಲು
ಪೂರ್ಣಚಂದ್ರ ಉದಯಿಸಿದಂತೆ


ನೀ ಮುನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು
ಕರಿ ಮೋಡಗಳು ಕವಿದಂತೆ
ನೀ ಕಣ್ಣೇರಿಡಲು
ಭೋರ್ಗರೆವ ಮಳೆ ಸುರಿದಂತೆ


ನೀ ಬಾಳ ಸಂಗಾತಿಯಾಗಲು
ಸರ್ವ ಋತು ಸಂಪನ್ನವಾದಂತೆ

The Handicapped

I always used to curse him,

For not allowing me to play,

For not allowing me to be with friends

But He created a field inside me

I play here with me

My games are different

There is a child in me

Who wants to play with you

Who wants to be with you

I may not play with you outside

But I can play with you inside me

Enjoying your enjoyment

Can you make me your friend?

You people say I am nothing

Because I have no things

You say I am poor

Because I have no money

You may be right for this society

Because they give respect for your money

I say you are poor

Because you don’t know anything other than money

You know how to spend on you only

You don’t know how to share

You don’t know how to be hunger

You can’t lead my life

Look into the world in my way

It may look as a wonder to you

There are many who die every day without food

You need not feed all, but feed at least one

Richness lies in heart, not Money

I was born like you

I wanted to be free like you

But you are not allowing me

I am scared
